  1. That Petrol Emotion:

    * Bumped to coincide with the band’s imminent dates -

Dec 4 London - Club NME @ KoKo
Dec 5 Minehead - All Tomorrow’s Parties “Nightmare Before Xmas”
    Dec 6 Dublin - Academy
Dec 7 Belfast - Spring and Airbrake
Dec 8 Derry - Nerve Centre
Dec 12 Brooklyn, NY - The Bell House

I’ll be on photographer duty at Dublin, Belfast and Derry, and I can’t wait. If you have the chance to make it to any of these gigs I heartily recommend that you do.

The problem with shooting gigs where the results matter is that you have less opportunity to be creative.

Embarrassing though it is to admit, I have a love of shots taken at 1/15th of a second - something to do with it being the photographic equivalent of what the unfocused eye sees. That’s just my theory, with nothing scientific whatsoever to back it up.

I could have taken shots like this all weekend long, but unfortunately nobody would publish them.

    * Just goes to show what I know - the band are using this shot on posters for the tour!

Steve Mack of That Petrol Emotion performing at the Electric Picnic, Stradbally, Ireland, on 30th August 2008.
